iPhone (3G) & iPod Not Charging

A while ago I bought a Blitzsafe from an online retailer and have been very happy with it with one exception, it won't charge anything. I thought initially it was a compatibility issue with the cable (G2) and my iPod, but noticed it wasn't charging my iPhone 3G either. Is it possible I'm not doing something correctly or that I have a defective cable? Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the product just a bit annoyed that it's not charging my iPod/iPhone.

Hi Marc,

My apologies as I cant' remember the exact model. Perhaps it's the VW / M-LINK1 V.3? It's the model which plugs into the back of the factory 2002 VW Jetta GL stereo where the CD changer would normally plug into.

I'd have to look through my old emails, but I purchased the interface <6 months ago.

I also have this issue, I have the Blitzsafe Uii adapter(about 2 years old) and purchased a G2 cable recently. The cable worked fine with my 5th generation iPod up until I tried my iPhone 3GS. All of a sudden it wouldnt charge anymore, even the ipod. The retailer exchanged the G2 cable, still had the same issue. I know this seems weird, but almost seems like the my iPhone shorted out the G2 cable. My Uii seems fine, if I use the original Uii cable, it works fine (with the iPod). I bought the G2 cable to use with my iPhone.

just wanted to add a thank you to you guys. I sent my old Uii in and you guys modified it to handle the new voltage. It was returned to me promptly and it's been working fine with my 3GS for about 2 weeks. It was cool of Blitzsafe to support my nearly 3 year old adapter(for free).
